Pros
Looks good. I now have a fire where there was an empty unused fire place.
Easy to use.
Instructions very clear.
Liked the wood burning oil essence.
Forgot to put the mesh on!
Cons
Expensive - Initially the outlay is quite expensive even for the mini (also I bought a fire extinguisher - just to be safe) and I think I will need more fuel. Think I will need half a bottle per 3hour lit fire.
Not much coal is in the starter pack so had to buy more - otherwise you see the tin box which is ugly and ruins the magic. Of course uncover the flame area before lighting.
Definitely need a long lighter or matches to reach and ignite.
The fuel burns off very quickly (I did have it fully open first time to see if I could generate some heat)
But not much heat generated - so will keep the central heating on during to cold nights!
But at the end of the day it looks really great. No smoke. No ashes or soot to clear up. No messing about with ordering, waiting for deliveries or storage needed for logs or coal.
